2007 Diary Entries
2007 |2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2001-2002

January 2007
58,318 miles. Its been almost 3 years since I've been logging my miles on my journal haha!!! It was back in 2004 when I had 21,108 miles. Haha.

Happy New Year!

Another year goes by. We all do a little growing up and look back on the year that just ended.

When I look back at 2006, the year of planning a massive could-have-bought-a-brand-new-Bimmer-with-all-the-money-I-spent-on-my-wedding year. I got in some driving, made tons of appearances, traveled to South Carolina to promote Kumho and Drifting Pretty, did the SEMA thing...blah blah blah...but most importantly, I got married, started a new chapter in my life and took a step back from drifting.

When I took that step back, I realized a lot. I did a lot of thinking, thought a lot about what I've accomplished and where I'm headed. I did an interview with TPR Magazine (Jan 2007 issue) around that time and hashed out a lot of thoughts and plans. Thank you TPR for giving me that opportunity.

Bottom line, I've finally found my place in drifting. No, its not at the bottom of the food chain in a Pro Series, no not conforming to becoming a baby-maker and ditching drifiting, but somewhere in the middle of all that. Family is priority and Drifting Pretty is priority in my life.

One person asked me "so you going to 'not do' Drifting Pretty and just have some babies?" Yah, RIGHT. Were they serious? I realized that I will never stop Drifting Pretty. When I'm all old and wrinkly, I want a portrait of myself in the lobby of our International Corporate Headquarters as one of the oldest woman drifters alive. I'm in this for the long run. You see people come and go in this industry, but I'm so happy to have found my place, right here. I'm so excited for what surprises 2007 is going to bring to the table.

I'm working on a few projects for Drifting Pretty. Most of them, outside the box. We'll see how things pan out. Whatever is meant to be will happen.
